The northern portion of the Sawyer Camp segment will be closed through December 2024.
Bicycle Sunday, the weekly event that allows for non-motorized use of Cañada Road along Crystal Springs Regional Trail, will be canceled during holiday weekends to meet increased staffing needs at other parks in the area.
Beginning Monday, Nov. 4 through Friday, Nov. 22, all of Flood Park, including the pump track, will be closed. When the park reopens Saturday, Nov. 23 visitors will have access to new facilities.

Work continues on a project to enhance public safety by maintaining already existing fuel breaks and shaded fuel breaks along a 4.3-mile network of fire roads in Sam McDonald Park. Trails in the work area will be closed on weekdays.
To finish construction of the multi-use sports field and sports courts, crews are scheduled to continue work on Saturdays, Oct 19 through Nov 16. On Nov 4 –22, the entire park will be closed, including the pump track.
The area south and west of the park, which was burned by the CZU Lightning Complex Fire, remains closed. Other trails remain closed due to storm damage.
Among the three concepts presented, the most popular with the community was boulder canyon, which reflects a natural aesthetic and will incorporate rocks of varying sizes to serve as play and relaxation areas.
Work is scheduled to occur on Saturday, Oct.5 and possibly Oct. 12 as construction crews strive to maintain the project schedule and complete key projects before wet weather begins. Construction activity will not begin before 9 a.m. and will conclude no later than 5 p.m.
